  • 3.A human-like robot is helping researchers touch shipwrecks (沉船) up to 1 kilometer under water — without getting wet.
OceanOneK is a 1.5-meter-long robot that has a human-like head and arms, while its thrusters(推進器) let it move carefully in the water. Its two camera eyes let a scientist on the surface see with human-like 3 D vision (視覺),while a touch-based system lets the scientist feel what the robot is touching as if (好像) they were holding them in their own hands. This allows OceanOneK to touch ancient tools with the skill and care of a human diver(潛水員).
Even when "deep" diving, human divers usually won't go more than 40 meters down. And while the world record for the deepest dive is just over 332 meters.OceanOneK's body is made with a special material that allows it to withstand(承受) underwater pressure 100 times what human experiences.
The robot has already been able to search several places that would be too deep for human divers. These include a second-century Roman ship at 334 meters, where OceanOneK successfully brought back several 1,800-year-old oil lamps (燈).And the Italian ship Francesco Crispi now sits under 500 meters of water.
Stanford professor Khatib, who used the robot, said,"I'd never experienced anything like that in my life.I'm the one who touched the Francesco Crispi at 500 meters." Khatib hopes OceanOneK can help humans research space in the future too.

(1)What can we learn about OceanOneK according to Paragraph 2?

A.It has human-like arms and legs.
B.It can move on the surface carefully.
C.Its eyes make scientists see with human-like 3 D vision.
D.Its system can't make scientists feel as if they are touching things.
(2)How does the writer explain his ideas about the deep dive of OceanOneK?

    A.By telling a story.
    B.By having a discussion.
    C.By comparing opinions.
    D.By listing numbers.
(3)What does Khatib think of OceanOneK?

    A.Doubtful.
    B.Hopeful.
    C.Funny.
    D.Worried.

  • 8.In the world literature, there are some famous works about jye.ai.Love is not only between lovers, but also between other people, such as parents and kids,or friends.
There is a famous Chinese poem,"Love Seeds".It is written by the poet Wang Wei.He used red beans (豆) to express his missing for his friends. As time goes on,Chinese people have been using red beans to express a feeling of missing.
Red beans have a strong meaning in Chinese culture.Red beans are often hard and come in a heart shape. They are similar in color to that of blood and can be kept for a long time without fading (褪色).Red beans mean love and fidelity(忠誠).Men give red beans to their lovers to show their fidelity, while women wear jewelry(首飾) made of red beans for a happy life.
The poet wishes his friend to collect as many red beans as possible,as the beans will remind his friend of the poet.
Instead of expressing love to others by directly saying"I love you"or"I miss you",Chinese people like to express feelings of love in a symbolic (象征性的) way in Chinese literature. For example, poets use pears to describe the moment of goodbye.
Chinese people love to use poems to express their deep thoughts and feelings. The glamour(魅力) of Chinese culture and words is shown by several words because of this.
