3.When I was a teenager,my parents were never interested in the music I liked. They said to me, "David, the music you listen to is a lot of noise." But as I grow older,I often hear my peers(同齡人) say, "Today's music is terrible." Many old people just don't like new music. But why is that?
The mere exposure effect(曝光效應(yīng)) may explain this.It means the more familiar(熟悉) we are with something, more likely we are to like it.When we are in our early teens,we usually spend a lot of time listening to popular music and talking about it with our friends. The new songs and artists during this time become familiar to us.After we turn 30 years old,we are busy working. We don't have as much time to look for new music,so we like listening to our old favorites better.
But I think there is another reason for old people's dislike of new music. Most popular music, after all,is not written for them.It is made for young people. Some types of music began as a rebellion(叛逆) by young people against out-of-date(過(guò)時(shí)的) ways of doing things. These types include punk,rap,hip-hop,heavy metal and more. They naturally attract (吸引)younger audiences.
Do your parents hate the music you like, too? Now,after reading this article, you know there is nothing wrong with that.
(1)The article is mainly about
A.old people is exploration of new music
B.differences between music of the past and the present
C.why older people don't like young people's musical tastes
(2)Why do young people like hip-pop?
A.Because they are too busy.
B.Because they often talks about it with their friends.
C.Because it shows a rebellion of young people against out-of-date ways.
(3)The author wrote this article in order to
A.teach young people how to help older people
B.help young people understand older people better
C.show that older people look down on young people組卷:6引用:1難度:0.5
