2.For years,I was in the rat race,my sense of wonder lost.Gardening was my antidote(解毒藥).It gave me time to stop, listen and absorb all the little details that nature has to offer-nurturing the earth, plants and myself to fight against the aggression and tiredness of everyday working life.
I quit my job and had a vision for my company.I wanted others to find the comfort that my garden gave me.Now,I watch my clients experience their own transformations.A corner that was once an unwelcoming place of weeds is a child's play area;a lonely person has an inspiring, evolving view.
Gardening requires us to be present in the moment, while also imagining the future. You may see a beautiful flower and surprise for a minute at the magic of nature. Some flowers last for a day, others for a season. Some come back year after year.Seasons pass and you become connected to the changes in life in a deeper, more spiritual way. This builds acceptance.
Where there once may have been beauty, there might now be an empty space and a deep sense of sadness…But gardening brings hope-we can create something beautiful again and that space will no longer be bare.
Hope is one of many emotions stirred by gardening.Whether you're growing vegetables to eat, planting tiny seeds or tending flowers, there is always a great sense of satisfaction at the end of a session. How you choose to garden is deeply personal to you-it's about creating something fruitful, alone or with others.
The key is to have a vision, ideas and bright hopes for the future.

3.Whenever she was having a tough day,Selena Berry would look at the sky and imagine herself, flying high in the clouds above her troubled neighbourhood and challenging school life."Flying makes you feel big," Betty said."You're on top of everything. You look down and all you see is the view, the beauty."
This summer,Berry and seven other African-American students in the Chicago area participated in a program to learn how to fly.The program is new and challenging for participants. In the end, successful students will graduate with a private pilot's license.
The unique program is called Tuskegee Next."It is a special effort to increase the number of African-Americans who can work as pilots." said Stephen L.Davis, who owns a big company Wheaton ,Illinois and founded the organization. The main mission of the group is to help students follow in the footsteps of the country's first black military pilot Tuskegee. It costs about $25,000 to take the lessons and pay for the flying time. But it is tree tor these students.Davis donates his own money and raises funds to cover the costs.
For much of his early life,Davis wanted to become a pilot. But growing up,he could not afford the expensive schooling.By the time he could afford lessons,he had a wife and children and did not want to take the risk. For the students, the benefits of learning to fly are greater than being pilots."When you don't see black pilots, you don't think you can do it," he said."Even if these kids don't become pilots, learning to fly will give them confidence to do other great things."
Tuskegee Next targets African-American teenagers from rough communities who might never have such a chance. The experience will change their lives and let them see a happy future. Some of the students in the program will receive a smallstipend, which makes up for the summer jobs they would have otherwise.
All eight of the students have passed the written exam. Now they are spending hours piloting a Cessna airplane with an instructor. Some are already flying the planes alone. On a recent sunny afternoon,20-year-old Quiana White spent about an hour alone in a Cessna airplane practicing turns. This was her first solo flight and her classmates crowded around her after she landed."You're not the same person once you go up on your own," she said."No matter what happens,I know I'm a pilot."

Dear Li Hua,
I'm writing to tell you something about Edinburgh which you ask about in the last e-mail.
Edinburgh, located in the southeast of Scotland, was the capital city of Scotland as well as their political and cultural center. It covers a area of 264 square kilometers with only a small population 1.33 million. With the airport lain in the center of the city,it is convenient for people to go around.Close to the seaside,Edinburgh has a mild climate, that makes it one of the most popular tourism city in the UK.It also has absolute splendid ancient architecture, like the Edinburgh Castle.
I will be happy to guide you around our city if you will come here.
Yours,
