閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)其內(nèi)容寫一篇60詞左右的內(nèi)容概要。
Being able to communicate effectively with others is an essential skill for people of all ages. Most people can benefit from improving their communication skills. Some of the best tips for developing communication skills are to learn and practice effective listening, seek feedback(反饋)and use appropriate body language.
One step to developing and improving communication is to learn and practice effective active listening skills.Active listening involves a person listening carefully and attentively to the person speaking, restating what the other person has said and listening more than talking. This kind of listening has more of a focus on understanding and encouragement than on giving advice and solutions, unless they are requested.
Another tip is to use feedback for different types of communication. Before sending out an important email to a boss or colleague, for example,it can be helpful to have another person to read the email for correctness.People giving speeches and presentations are always well advised to practice them before an audience and to ask for feedback before giving the real speech or presentation.Practicing communication and seeking feedback in these ways can help to ensure that there will be no improper expressions in your email.
It is also essential to use appropriate body language and eye contact. These nonverbal cues can convey the feeling behind what people are saying and should match their words. What you should keep in mind is that you should know when and how to use them.Using direct eye contact and body language that indicates openness, like uncrossed arms, can help to get across that a person is ready and willing to listen and speak openly.

閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)其內(nèi)容寫一篇60詞左右的內(nèi)容概要。
Most people around the world are right-handed.This fact also seems to have held true throughout history. In 1977 scientists studied works of art made at various times in history. Most of the people shown in these works of art are right handed,so scientists guessed that right-handedness has always been common. But what do Leonardo da Vinci,Marie Curie, and Albert Einstein have in common? They were all left-handed along with other famous people including Brad Pitt Prince William, and Barack Obama. In fact,an estimated 13 percent of the world's population may be left-handed.
Many researchers claim to have found relationships between left-handedness and various physical and mental characteristics, such as blond hair, blue eyes, and sleep difficulties.Other studies have found a higher-than-normal level of left-handed people in certain occupations(職業(yè)),including professional baseball players, architects,as well as prisoners. However, some of these connections are very weak, and others have not been proven.
What makes a person become right-handed rather than left-handed?One simple idea suggests that people normally get right-handedness from their parents.Studies have found that two right-handed parents have only a 9.5-percent chance of having a left-handed child, while two left-handed parents have a 26-percent chance of having a left-handed child.Another common theory is that left-handed people suffer mild brain damage during birth, which makes them left-handed.
Whatever the reasons behind it,people's attitudes toward left-handedness have changed a lot over the years.Statistics show that although 13 percent of young people are left-handed,only six percent of the elderly are left-handed.Left-handed children used to be punished until they began using their right hand like other children, but today people who are left-handed are no longer looked down on nor are they considered abnormal For most people today, either case is perfectly acceptable. There are even a number of shops now selling products for left-handed people, such as left-handed can openers, guitars, and even a left-handed camera.

Natural disasters are catastrophic events that often occur without warning and disrupt the ecosystem, causing damage to personal lives, property, transportation, and livelihood. The thought of a natural disaster can be frightening, but it is never possible for you to prevent it.Though you may not know what kind of disaster will strike or when, being ready for the disaster before it may help you protect yourself, your family and your home.
Creating and practicing a plan with your family to figure out what to do in the event of a disaster should be your priority.Make sure everyone knows their role and the plan - then have drills,so you're all comfortable with who does what.According to Ready.gov,the four primary factors that your plan should take into account include where to shelter a route for evacuation(疏散),getting emergency alerts and warnings, family communication.
Having an emergency preparedness kit(成套工具)on hand may help you and your family deal with a disaster.Stores supplies in a large water-resistant container near a door or in your garage so you can grab it and find shelter quickly.Supplies such as canned food, clean water, flashlights, medications, and clothing should be included in the kit. Many people also like to keep copies of important documents in the kit,so that they will be readily accessible as needed, and keeping some cash in it is also a good idea.As a general rule, there should be enough supplies in an emergency kit for you to get by for 72 hours without assistance.
You'll want your insurance policy numbers for your vehicle, home and any other relevant insurance you've purchased relating to things that might get damaged during a disaster,so it is a wise idea to take note of the numbers.Keep hard copies of your insurance information in your wallet,in your car and even at your office or a relative's home in case you're unable to fetch them from your own house but need to make a call.

閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)其內(nèi)容寫一篇60詞左右的內(nèi)容摘要。
With the development of the computer, virtual reality(虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí))steps in our life.If something is virtual, then it is created by computer technology and appears as if it were real.VR is a computer system with a special headset(耳機(jī)).When you put on the headset, you will look at two tiny television screens. They are so close to your eyes as if you see just one picture and you will believe that you have entered a different world. In many systems, you also wear special gloves. With the gloves you can reach out and touch things in the unreal world.
The first VR games, which have already been sold round the world, enable you to drive a sports car,fly a plane,or fight an enemy. In the future,it may be difficult to tell the virtual world of the games from the real world outside. However,VR is not just for entertainment. One day, delighted children will be able to learn geography by observing exciting foreign countries without having to leave their classrooms. They will be excited to learn history by visiting the pyramids of Egypt. In addition, businesses will be able to use VR for many tasks.Pilots will be able to practise flying virtual planes before they go into the air.VR can help us improve the world in hundreds of ways.
However, some people have warned that there could be dangers. It might be dangerous if we do something wrong,or if people do not want to return to reality because it is safer than real life.Besides,we will forget how to live and work with real people.
There will be some problems with VR,as it is new for us.However, one thing is for sure:VR is here to stay.Get ready to step into another world!
