The World Health Organization(WHO) says that 80% of the world's teens(青少年)don't get enough exercise to live healthy lives. The report was based on research done with students aged 11 to 17 in 146 different countries. The WHO has been studying teen activity levels since 2001 and reports that not much has changed since then.
The WHO says that kids should get at least an hour of exercise every day. (A)This could include walking, running, biking, dancing, playing sports,or many other activities.More and more research is showing that exercise does not just help the body,it can help the brain, too, improving thinking, test scores and school grades.
One big reason for the lack of(缺乏)activity in today's teens is technology, such as smartphones, computers and TVs.Many teens find it very hard to pull themselves away from their devices, whether they are texting, playing games,or watching videos or movies.
The WHO warns(告誡)that young people need to do less playing in the digital world, and more playing in the real world.
Health experts want schools and families to encourage teens to be more active.Teens should take part in sports, either on teams or just playing around in the playground.Exercise can also be built into a school day's activities. For many kids, walking or biking to school is one way to make that happen. (B)Doctors say 60 minutes of exercise each day don't need to be done all at once.They can be broken down into smaller parts, like 20 minutes, three times a day.

  • 3.When you visit a foreign country, two things are important. You should know how to be polite.
And you'd better carry a map because it is not easy to understand the directions.
You should say "Thank you"when someone passes you the food on the table, when someone walking ahead of you keeps the door open for you,and so on."Thank you"is used between friends, and between parents and children."Excuse me"is another short sentence they use. When you hear someone say so behind you,you know that somebody wants to walk past you without touching you.
It's not polite to break others when they are talking. If you want to speak to one of them, say"Excuse me"first, and then begin talking.
If you have no maps in a foreign country,it's difficult to ask for directions.
In the countryside of America, usually there are not many landmarks(地標(biāo)).Instead of landmarks, people will tell you like this:"Go north two miles.Turn east, and then go another mile".
In Japan, most streets there don't have names, people use landmarks in their directions instead of street names. For example,"Go straight down to the corner.Turn left at the big hotel and go past a fruit market, the post office is across from the bust stop."
People in Greece sometimes don't even try to give directions because not many visitors can understand the Greek language.Instead,a Greek will often say,"Come with me.Then he'll lead you there.
One thing will help you everywhere, you may not understand a person's word, but maybe you can understand his body language.

    根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,判斷正(T)誤(F)。
(1)When someone wants to walk past you,he or she should say "I'm sorry".

(2)There are no landmarks in America at all.

(3)Most of the streets have no names in Japan.

(4)Don't worry about the Greek language, people there are very friendly.

(5)Sometimes we can use body language to understand the directions according to the passage.
