Dear Simon, I'm sorry I forgot to write to you in the past 3 month. After getting here,I've been busy with the classes and making new friends.I speak English all the time and go out in my free time with my classmates. We all talk in English but I' m learning other languages too. My host family are really nice. The parents,Susan and Paul, are very friendly and kind. The children are called Lewis and Amy.They are both in primary school and are very sweet but they can be a bit annoying too.I have to watch the film Frozen with them over and over again,I know all the songs by heart now.Ahhhh! We live near the school so I walk there every day. It's only a short bus ride from the city center. There's also an ancient castle (古老的城堡) and we're going there on a school trip next month.Edinburgh is really an interesting place!I'll send some photos of Edinburgh Castle next time.Take care and let me know how you are doing. Yours, Fran |

2.Dear Laura,
Thanks for your message.Yes,I'm having a great time on my student exchange program in France.I was a bit nervous before I arrived here, but there was no reason to be.My host family is really nice. They go out of their way to make me feel at home. The grandmother knows that I miss Chinese food a lot.So she actually learned how to make Chinese food! She also has a teenage granddaughter about my age who is really kind. She always talks to me in French to help me practice. You wouldn't believe how quickly my French has improved because of that.I'm very comfortable speaking French now.Although I still make lots of mistakes,it doesn't worry me as it used to.
My biggest challenge is learning how to behave at the dinner table. As you can imagine, things are very different from the way they are at home. For example, you're not supposed to put your bread on your plate. You're supposed to put it on the table!I thought that was pretty strange at first, but now I'm used to it.Another example is that you're not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread, not even fruit. You have to cut it up and eat it with a fork.Another thing is that it is impolite to say you're full.If you don't want any more food, you should just say, "That was delicious." Also, you're not supposed to put your elbows on the table.I have to say that I find it difficult to remember everything, but I'm gradually getting used to it.I don't find French customs so strange anymore.
I'll write again soon and tell you more about my life in France.Hope you're having a good school year.
Yours,
Lin Yue

There is a flea market(跳蚤市場) every month next to my home.I want to sell my old toys(玩具) and books to make money for new toys.Do you have any tips(提議) for a good sale?
Yu Le,11,Qingdao
Yu Le,
When I was a kid,I sold(賣) my old toys at flea markets.I even had a cola stand(攤位)!I have a few tips for you.
First, have fair(公道的) prices. Many people go to flea markets to get good deals(買得合算).So don't make your things have too high prices!
Second, put your toys and books into groups.(1)This will make it easy for people to see what you are selling.
Third, have fun!Even if you don't sell all of your things, you can make some new friends.I hope you(2)have a good time!
(1)回答問題。
