Every autumn，millions of the monarchs fly south to find warm places.They start from Canada or the north part of the USA，and stop at Mexico at last.They travel as far as 3，200 kilometers.It is amazing!
In Mexico，the monarchs live in a forest for the winter.The forest is like an umbrella.The butterflies don't get wet or cold there.In a big tree，sometimes you can find about 15，000 monarchs sitting on one branch!
In March，the days get longer and the air gets warmer.The monarchs fly north.As soon as they get to the north of the USA and Canada，they lay eggs.Then they die.
Sadly，monarch butterflies are in great danger now.Their number is falling badly because the climate changes and people cut down too many trees.I think it is time for us to do something to help save monarch butterflies now!
