Yuan Longping，one of great people in my mind，is a very famous agricultural scientist.As a pioneer in the research and development of hybrid rice in China，he is known as the "Father of Hybrid Rice in the World".
Yuan Longping was born on September 7th，1930 in Beijing.After graduating from Southwest Agricultural College in 1953，he had been devoted to the research of the hybrid rice.When he was more than 80 years old，he still insisted on working.The hybrid rice he cultivated has enabled many hungry people to have enough food，not only in China but also in the world.
Though he died on May 22，2021，his hard working spirit is to encourage all of us to devote ourselves to serving the society.In addition，his modest attitude also makes us moved.Though he had made great achievement，he still looked on himself as a farmer and led a simple life.
