At the National Library of China (中國國家圖書館,NLC) in Beijing,some repairers(修理工,維修者) are shaking off centuries of old dust (塵土,粉塵,灰塵)to repair the ancient books.
Xie Jincheng,one of the repairers,has been doing this for about 10 years.However,he can only repair a few pages a day,and it sometimes(1)takestakeshim several days to fix just one page.It takes quite a long time to(2)looklookfor the right paper to repair the books. " Sometimes it is impossible to get similar paper,so we need to process the paper ourselves," Xie said.
