The first "forest library" in Shanghai recently opened to the public，giving readers the chance to relax and read in a natural environment.
Known as Read & Joy Forest，the forest library was built by Pudong New Area and Shanghai Library.The library is in an urban（城市的） green space area near Shanghai Library East.It allows visitors to take an enjoyable walk in the quiet and green forest.
The library is in the open air and equipped with facilities（設(shè)施） such as benches and an information booth（詢問處）.It has become very popular these days.
"I learnt about the forest library from my friends，so I came here ，"in said Ms Wang，a 21-year-old college student.
"My eyes often hurt after working on the computer，but the green outdoor environment helps kill the pain of my eyes.I will come back for sure."
Having a library in the woods is really different from their reading experience in the past，according to Xu Qiang，one of the leaders of Shanghai Library.So readers are more interested in reading in such a different way.
Most of the visitors to the forest library were young people and parents with their children，who either focused on reading or look an easy walk in the forest. "I was really attracted（吸引） by the fresh air and the smell of the trees here.I've spent the whole morning indoors，and want to get some fresh air.The library makes it possible to enjoy reading in such a nice environment.I feel very relaxed here，" said Tom sitting on a bench.
