In order to celebrate the coming National Day， students of senior 1 took part in a singing competition at the school art centre last Sunday evening.
The competition started at 8 p.m. and lasted two hours. Students from twenty classes took turns to sing their chosen patriotic songs. Their performances in which they made up and wore beautiful costumes were so wonderful that the audience were all thrilled. After the heated competition， the classes which gave superb performances were presented awards by the school leaders.
It was evident that the activity was well organized and the competition went on smoothly and successfully. The activity was highly spoken of because not only did it enrich the students' school life but also developed their feeling of respect and love for our great motherland.
