Dear Parents，
    To celebrate Chinese New Year，we are going to decorate（裝飾） our school with lots of colourful Chinese lanterns.Then we are going to have our own school Lantern Festival.The Lantern Festival shows that Chinese New Year has ended.Your child's homework is to make a different and special lantern on his or her own and decorate it in any way they wish.
    How to make a lantern：
    1.Make the lantern on black card （or red card for a more traditional lantern）.
    2.Cut out windows in any shape you wish.
    3.Glue around the windows and cover them with thin paper.
    4.Roll（滾動(dòng)） the card into a cylinder（圓柱） shape and stick together.
    5.Make two holes at the top and hang it with some thread（線）.
    All lanterns need to be in school by January 3rd，2024，so we can make a great preparation for the show.Each of students' work will be shown in our school on January 14th.I look forward to seeing you all at our school's Lantern Festival!
