Yuan Longping was born on September 7，1930 in Beijing.He was from a poor farmer's family.After he graduated from Southwest Agriculture College in 1953，he was sent to work as a teacher in the Agriculture School in the west of Hunan.He began his research in rice in 1964 and got the First National Special Prize for Invention in 1981.He was honored as "Father of Hybrid Rice" by the international friends.He passed away on May 2nd，2021.Although Yuan Longping was famous，his life was simple and he cared little for money and fame.That's why I choose him as my favorite historical person.From him，I have learnt that everything is possible if I put my heart into it.I never give up in time of difficulties.
