Anna My roommates at school isolate me all the time. They have their own group chat and never talk to me.But actually we have never disagreed on anything serious.I don't know whether it's because of our different hobbies or ways of doing things.Should I do something to change the situation?
Julie There have been many times in my life when I've had unfriendly roommates. This is,unluckily,a common situation in life.
I know it can be difficult and embarrassing to take the first step to talk with others. This is even more difficult when roommates have made their own group chat and are seemingly shutting you out of the conversation. But,in life,it is necessary to make the first move. Why not start with simple, small conversations at the right moment?Try not to work too hard to attract their attention;just look for something similar that you have in common and offer your ideas.Knowing how to"break the ice"in this way is an important and helpful life skill.
Simon 1 feel quite tired since the Junior 3 year began. After school, all I want is to sleep as soon as I return home. But I can't do that because 1 have lots of homework to do.Usually,it lasts until 10 pm.It's really tiring. But I have to keep working. How can I live through a long school day and keep energetic?
Peter Many of my classmates share the same experience with you. They keep studying and don't stop to have a rest. But I don't agree. For me,I will listen to beautiful Western music,or read Readers to keep the tiredness away.I also walk back home after school. In the walking,I don't have to think about my studies. When I get back home,I feel full of energy again to keep working On weekends,I like spending hours playing football or tennis.I think regular rest can make our brain work better.

  • 2.Dear Laura,
Thanks for your message.Yes,I'm having a great time on my student exchange program in France.I was a bit nervous before I arrived here, but there was no reason to be.My host family is really nice. They go out of their way to make me feel at home. The grandmother knows that I miss Chinese food a lot.So she actually learned how to make Chinese food! She also has a teenage granddaughter about my age who is really kind. She always talks to me in French to help me practice. You wouldn't believe how quickly my French has improved because of that.I'm very comfortable speaking French now.Although I still make lots of mistakes,it doesn't worry me as it used to.
My biggest challenge is learning how to behave at the dinner table. As you can imagine, things are very different from the way they are at home. For example, you're not supposed to put your bread on your plate. You're supposed to put it on the table!I thought that was pretty strange at first, but now I'm used to it.Another example is that you're not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread, not even fruit. You have to cut it up and eat it with a fork.Another thing is that it is impolite to say you're full.If you don't want any more food, you should just say, "That was delicious." Also, you're not supposed to put your elbows on the table.I have to say that I find it difficult to remember everything, but I'm gradually getting used to it.I don't find French customs so strange anymore.
I'll write again soon and tell you more about my life in France.Hope you're having a good school year.
    Yours,
    Lin Yue

There is a flea market(跳蚤市場) every month next to my home.I want to sell my old toys(玩具) and books to make money for new toys.Do you have any tips(提議) for a good sale?
    Yu Le,11,Qingdao
    Yu Le,
When I was a kid,I sold(賣) my old toys at flea markets.I even had a cola stand(攤位)!I have a few tips for you.
First, have fair(公道的) prices. Many people go to flea markets to get good deals(買得合算).So don't make your things have too high prices!
Second, put your toys and books into groups.(1)This will make it easy for people to see what you are selling.
Third, have fun!Even if you don't sell all of your things, you can make some new friends.I hope you(2)have a good time!

    (1)回答問題。
①Why does Yu Le want to sell things at the flea market?

②Why does Laura ask Yu Le to have fair prices?

    (2)(1)處" This " refers to(指代)

    (3)從文中找出與(2)處 have a good time"意思相同或者相近的詞組。

    (4)請根據短文內容列出兩條Laura 給Yu Le的 tips.
